If I have one complaint about my Z, it would be the grey trim on the center console of my 03 track pack. I've have been casually searching for a solution to this since signing up on this site, but have been unable to find to the exact answer to what I'm looking for. I don't want to get any of those cheap looking dash overlay kits. No offence to those who have done them, I just would perfer an OEM solution.

So here are my questions, I am wondering if it is possible to swap the grey trim pieces to black? I have noticed on the 06's, that because of the relocation of the hazard lights button, this model year won't work. Which model year did the center console change to black? Which model year would work best with what I am trying to achieve? And lastly, are there any issues with doing such a swap?

Bump. After 3 days and 33 views, and the collective knowledege of this website has not been able to give me any insight on this

 

It appears 2004 Z's had the black center console switch. Should be a pretty easy swap since there were no design changes to the console between 2003 and 2004. The pic below is an 04 track model.
