Got the dash painted aluminum. tell me what ya think
Just got the dash painted. Heres some pics. Not to good quality, took it on my cingular 8525. what do you think?

It matches the other silver parts perfectly. If anyone around delaware needs this done, the guy I went to was awesome and wasnt expensive. It was painted flat silver like the door handles. I paid 125. and it does take the orignal texture (the little bumps)

I've driven GT racecars with fabricated aluminum dashboards and instrument panels. The glare off them at certain angles was tremendous! I also noticed this when I was testing the Stillen SMZ two years ago- the reflected shine off the CF binnacle on the center stack was way too distracting. Sorry- I like the flat black of the OEM panel better.

I get the impression the lighter tone would reflect into the inside of the windshield, possibly hindering your view of the road ahead. Have you taken it out in the sun yet? Any problems/issues with this?
Looks like the center piece B-Unit is selling

yea kinda like b-units. Mine keeps the original texture. His is a little different. And no im not having any problems with glare. its a flat finish. just like the door handles. If anyone needs it done i can get in contact with the guy. maybe a little semi group buy.
Looks good. Which would look best- nav. door painted or not painted? What do you guys think? Dark nav. door and gauge pods would be a good contrast with aluminum color dash console.
Very well done! Does anyone know if I can do the same with spray cans from Kragens? I bought a spray for plastics from Kragen and painted my battery and brake fluids cover and they look great with no problem at all so I'm guessing the paint should work for the interior piece too?
