yeah there are a bunch on ebay i was looking at. That link will do though. I bought my car in feb and this is my first car with HID so i know little about them or how the headlights actually look behind the bumper.

Can you take base model lights and make them HID? im sure that may be a stupid question but i dont know.

The thing is i dont wanna paint my headlights myself cuz i screwed up some acura headlights baking them and got silicone all over and couldnt get a good seal, id rather have someone who has done it before and who can guarantee good work do mine but i cant use my headlights now because this is my daily driver. So i was looking into buying an extra set and they are like 700 bucks each. Any ideas?

Default EBay Non-HID headlights decent enough?

I purchased a Touring half a year ago and for whatever reason the original owner had swapped out the HID's for Halogen's. The housings have a recessed space for the ballasts. Does that mean the previous owner just swapped in halogens or do all housing have that space for the ballast?

Anyways after dealing with a condensation problem with the headlight I developed many stress cracks and the like.

I have read that the ebay headlights are crappy but no one actually said what was wrong with them. It was even suggested that the ebay lenses be used on the oem housing...So what makes these ebay non hid headlights so bad? OEM non HID housings aren't outrageous, I'm just curious what makes these lights so bad.

Bah...What makes them cheap? They look like crap? Leak...etc.

"cheap results" have characteristics associated to make them cheap...

what makes more sense and cheaper long term? Buying parts that you know is oem (fitment is right, no problems, piece of mind that it's going to work and look right) or buying something probably made who knows where, might not fit or look right, may break/melt or yea maybe even spontaneously combust. Then if something does go wrong later you'll be paying for the oem parts which would've been cheaper in the beginning! But that's my past experience and paid to learn it the hard way!!

Just read your own writing, you already wrote that the headlights have problems with the lenses cracking and with them condensing.

We even wrote an article about it: http://clearcorners.com/products/003/

Swap them out with factory original and enjoy OEM-quality.

If you have to ask, then you must not feel confident about that product/ purchase, I would not buy off ebay unless you know and trust where the product is coming from.

I'v had bad experience with ebay.. my 2 cents!

My factory original OEM lights are the ones cracking and condensing...I am looking for opinions on the EBay lights. Like I said originally the prices for the 03-05 Assemblies are not outrageous I'm just curious.

I'll just save some cash and put in Bi-Xenon's while I'm at it.

Just an observation, but I think it's funny how everyone uses Ebay as like a brand name.
"Ebay Headlights"
"Ebay Wing"
"Ebay Wheels" etc...

Ebay doesn't sell the stuff. Summit Racing Equipment sells on Ebay, Jegs Sells on Ebay. AUT Design (350z Eyelids) sells on ebay. But that stuff isn't "Ebay junk"

Just saying, not everything on ebay is junk so don't generalize so much.

Default Aftermarket Headlights (Not OEM)

Not sure if repost, but anybody tried these out? I have never seen these before nor ones that are made to work "with factory HID's" but these do (so eBay ad says)... thoughts? I kinda like these (although i would not wire up the LED strip)

I found a thread on another kind while i was searching for these, but they were for non-HID only.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-05...Q5fAccessories

$370 bones/pair.

I would try them out but my car is an 06. I'm not sure if there is a difference between the bulb or light plug between the 03-05 and the 06. They physically look different so I'm guessing the harnesses are different.
