Bought CF hood, new seals or no? hood struts & pins??
So now that my TT is listed for sale, i figured i should add pics ASAP. First, i wanted to clean it up a bit and buy a new CF hood (Bought the TS style from CarbonLimited). My question is on the seals. Can i re-use the stock seals or do i need to buy new ones?? Also, I think i'm going to go with hood struts and hood pins. Can i make my own struts with hatch struts or do they need to be specific for what ever reason? Lastly, hood pins. Any recomendations?

you can remove and reuse the stock weather seal from the stock hood. you do no need to repurchase new ones, if you do not want to DRILL into your CF hood,
you can use 3m heavy duty weatherproof double stick tape (from home depot) to attach the weather strip rubber.
as for hood pins. SPARCO sell the hood pins that fit exactle into the radiator support frame with no extra drilling on the frame side.
pin#1( pass side)
the driver side hole is right above the intake hole...
sparco pins retail for like $30-

I have both and haven't decided which ones to use. Sparcos do less damage to the hood but don't look as clean/nice. The Seibon hoods also have the indentions where the factory hood seal snaps into. You can just drill or dremel these small holes and your weatherstrip will pop right on.
