I just installed some carbon NRG shocks from RoBear Racing and one of the sales guys told me they sold out of the ones for the oem hoods but they had the looser compression ones in for the carbon hoods...since my VS2 was on the way, I went w/ a pair. I installed them last night and they work like a charm. I had to double up on the washers on the lower side of the units though cause part of the shock itself was rubbing the plastic gaurd. At first they were a tad on the stiff side but after about 20 or 30 lifts, they're perfect.

 

They are pricey but mine from TopSecret work great. They are the ones they sell for the G35 and fit perfect on the Z with no modifications. Search for my thread on the topic. Good luck!
