Talking JIC racing seat (& CF Strut) w/ initial pics

so excited ...just got my JIC bucket seat and CF strut bar. the mounting hardware for the seat need to come in from Japan, so I've got at leats another month until i can mount it, but I was able to test fit the seat, and it feels great! The seat is snug on me, which is perfect b/c I got this for AutoX; for reference, I'm 5'11", 190lbs, waiste 34". The seat has holes for the standard 4,5,6 pt harnesses...can't wait to use my 6 pt harness with this. Here's some intial pics;

*the white specks in the pics on the seat sides is from the camera's flash reflecting off texture of those areas...it's hard to explain, but the texture in those areas is 'stickier' with some kind of coating - seems like it'll help to keep you in the seat.

bottom of seat:

also a few shots of the CF strut bar (this is more of a suspension component, but seems like ppl here would be interested) Once I get this installed, I'll probably post up more pics and intial impressions in the suspension forum.

seat: 6.4 Kg (MSRP $580.00)
strut: not sure what the weight is...let me know if you want it, and i can weigh it at home.(MSRP $298.00)

I got a partial sponsorship from JIC...so I didn't have to pay full price

it's actually not that bad - I had a similar seat in my old miata, I had done a 3hr drive for a track event...wasn't the most comfortable, but bearable. Plus, I'll only be using this for AutoX/track events...I'll switch it back to OE for daily driving.
