Default clear bra opinion

just want to see the general consensus:

Greetings everyone:

went through the 'must read before mods' thread and planning to do no. 1

is this really 'a must have' considering that it'll cost approx a G for bumper and front portion of hood? (professionally installed) (My z is black by the way...)

also, do you advise doing the whole hood as there will be a horizontal line seen on front portion of hood if it is limited to that area. (I have actually seen this on a tan colored G35... not obvious till about a yard away..., I don't know what to think bout it)

share some light Z gods....

even pictures if possible...
even direct links if subject already covered...

thanks in advance...

From what I'm reading, you just should do the bumper. I called a local shop and they said they charge $250 for it. 1000 seems a little much

I have it done on my Z. I would never think twice about doing it.

yes, do it. i have it on my car two, i did half of the hood, lights, bumper, and rearview mirrors....after you drive on the highway, u don't have to worry about rock chips (bugs like to stick to the bra, but they come right off).

Best thing I've ever done. I have the front portion of the hood, the bumper, and mirrors.

+1, I think finding a good installer is the most important step.

worth every penny. on our ultra yellow, you cant even see it. $1000 is a bit steep. got mine for way less and got mirrors and 1/4 fenders.

Ask yourself the question: would I rather have a line across the hood (barely visible), knowing I paid money for it and looks like it is meant to be there, OR random chips appear over time, for free? I personally chose the 3m and happy about it.

Although it was really tough to put it on, I'm glad i've done it.
No more worries about rock chips!

I say to do it, but I HATE the line across the hood. I think if it is done, the whole hood should be done. I am waiting for my paint job to do it though, no need when there are already chips in the paint.
