Default Poll: To Grill or Not To Grill

How many of you think the stock Z bumper looks better with an aftermarket grill? Thanks for taking the time to participate.

I put a StreetScene chrome grill on my silver Z about a year ago. I loved it when I put it on, but its starting to wear on me a little.

For 100$, it completely changed the look of the front end, and at least I can tell which Z is mine in a crowded parking lot.

Aftermarket grills for teh lose. What looks good though is painting the stock grill to match (had my Z done and was one of the few that did it... looks damn hot).

You can see mine here... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2175526

^^^ that is the only grille you should use other than stock.

DO NOT put a billet grille on your Z.

Stillen sells the okay ones i think called street scene. I may actually get one to protect my intercooler.

I only like the ones that mgl has on his car. But if your asking this question because you want one but wondering what everyone else thinks,go ahead and get one. Its your car and your money.....so be happy with it!!

Hey do you HAVE to cut out the OEM grille to install that one? Also, does it leave space to access the tow hook area?

I'm not really into body work. I have completed all the exterior mods I was planning on doing. Then someone asked if I was getting a grill. Here's my car below... I don't know if I want a grill or not.. Like I said, I wasn't planning on it. So why not ask my fellow Z owners what their preference is?

Thanks again everyone

I can't figure out why so many people hate on billet grilles. When you look at the aftermarket for the Z, almost everything available is some variation or extension of the stock piece it replaces.

Wheels - almost everybody goes for wider wheels. Stock have 5-6 spokes. Lots of you put on wheels with 10-20 small spokes.

Spoilers & wings. Every one of them is bigger than the OEM spoiler. Lots of people add wings - big wings.

Look at the stock grille. It consists of 3 horizontal black plastic bars. The logical extension is chrome or painted then more than 3 bars. A billet grille has 8, 10, 15 bars. It's just an exaggeration of the stock piece.

If you like it on the Z, get it, if not then don't get one - but don't hate on fellow Z owners. It's just wrong.

Personally, I like them....

after seeing your car, i would skip the grille and paint ur headlights instead.

if you have $$ to spare, get the '06 lights and have them painted.
check out nitrouz's old car
