Anyone on this Board with a Widebody?
Who has a widebody Z? If you do, how do you like it? Do you notice any difference what so ever when you drive it? I personally like the look, if you don't mind me asking how much did the entire kit + install and paint run?
Thanks
Thanks
I love it...not too bad to drive although don't plan on really driving in a city like DC without losing your mind. I don't know what you are reffering to when you ask if you notice a difference? I've only driven the car a limited amount since the kit was put on but it did feel more stable at 130+, although I don't know if I can credit the kit for that since I had a full suspension put on at the same time as the kit. You have to check with the labor, repainting the whole car, and wheels with a custom offset. It isn't cheap and if you try to take shortcuts it will show. Which one are you thinking about getting?
Cool, thanks for the response. I was thinking of the Buddy Club 2 kit. Or maybe going with a V6 kit. I know its not going to be cheap so hopefully i can get a decent deal if i go with the same shop for paint and install. What i meant by "difference" is that i'm sure everything feels solid and there arn't any gaps but you never know especially at high speed.
Thanks again
Thanks again

Hey Bumpinjeep - what up dog?
You just joined - me too. Careful there's a lot of hater's here - other 350z sites are more friendlier. I was going to be a sponsor for this site for my car dealership but changed my mind.
In regards to the widebody, it will totally transform your Z. Depending on what you want to do with it - to me - going widebody is more for show than function. Nissan's 350z is already a pure sports car that you can track right out of the box with minimal fuss-work. It is also a Tuner's dream because of the unlimited aftermarket choices that a Z owner has.
Which widebody do you have in mind? Do you have money set aside for it already - if not - then don't do it - it will always costs more than planned therefore if you don't have the money yet - don't do it.
If you do - then get ready - you'll be like the kids at Toys-R-us going crazy!
Here is my 350 and the pics below it are the 2 Z's that I purchased to play with. 1st is an '04 Base that I chose for the widebody project for my dealership and the 2nd is an '03 Touring with GPS-Nav that I will use to learn to drive and drift after tuning and setup.
If you still want to buy kits, let me know so I can point you to a wholesaler for the best price for you.
Take care and enjoy life!
