Smile Clear Bra: Install It Yourself Or Professionally?

After reading many posts about what clear bra is the best for the job, I've decided on buying the Deluxe Invinca-shield product. My only reason for buying this brand over the others is PRICE! I've spoken with an authorized installer about the cost of installation. And while he seemed reasonable ($55.00/hour), the price would still be around $200.00. I'd like to save that money and spend it on my wife , since she green-lighted the purchase of the Z!

So, I'm thinking about installing the Invinca-shield myself. Is this a HUGE mistake on my part, or is it not that difficult to do? If you have installed a clear bra please comment on how easy or how difficult it was. Would you do it again, or have a professional do it? I'm not like a Bob Vila-type handy man, but I do have some do-it-yourself skills.

Thanks for any feedback. I appreciate and value your comments.

Michael

get a pro to do it. done tint for some time, its not hard to do if the body or window is flat anyone can do it, but when you get into the concave and convex curves like you have on the z it can be tricky you have to know how much to pull and tug and sometimes heat the stuff to get it to do what you want.

let the pros do it at least if something happens like it start peeling or something you have somekind of warranty.

I have not installed one, but I watched the guy install mine. I say, pay the professional. No way would I try it myself. Too many "tricks of trade" to get it right.

Also, a friend of mine who can do about anything tried it, and it did not come out well. The deluxe kit should be a 3 hour install for a professional.

Just my .02. Good luck!

First off, I am a certified installer for the clear bra's. Although you may think my opinion is biased I can tell you that the Z kit is a pretty difficult kit to install. If you dont know were to strech the kit and what solution to use in the proper places it will come out looking like S**t! In addition if you do attempt to install the kit yourself and you screw it up, you have to purchase another kit. If a pro puts it on like we do if we screw it up it's our cost not your's. In addition most good installers will warranty the kits as we do and if there are any defects in the kit or installation we will replace it. BTW, we are a certified installer and manufacture of Xpels kits which are far the best on the market with the least amout of seams which means a much nicer, cleaner installation for the bra. If you have any more questions shoot me a PM and I'll be glad to answer them.
