Default DIY carbon fiber rock guards

was sick of looking at the front of my sideskirts where the tires have been throwing rocks into them and thus chipping the hell out of them. Was starting to look white, lol. So I made some little plates out of CF to take the abuse instead.

If I could do it again, I'd put something like this on right after fresh paint to keep it looking nice. I plan on doing some for the back bumper also when I get some more free time.

Only problem I see here is that instead of chipping your paint, you are going to chip the hell outta the CF.

Yep, for sure. Although I put the clear coat on very heavy so it should be fairly tough. But these cost something like $10 in materials to make. So once they get trashed, I'll just do up another pair

I just bought a bunch of CF material and some resin, and made these from scratch. I could do it for any side skirt design, as long as a I had a template of the shape.

You can pick up CF cloth on ebay for decent prices.
