I installed it on mine but honestly I don't think it does anything because it isn't a closed enclosure that leads to the intake box. There is a gap at the sides and top of the area from the end of the V2 duct to the opening for the air intake.

i know that the authentic one came with a plate that would cover up the opening in rainy conditions.

i installed it, you can barely see it unless you stare into the air damn and behind my mesh grill is where the duck sits. its one of those "OOooOh cool" when someone looks at your car closely.
