Question Touch up paint..

I have a tiny tiny scratch that is annoying to me along with a small rice grain size paint chip on my hood..would buying a thing of touch up paint be the best thing to do? I ask because I plan on getting clearbra installed and wanted to do the hood as well so it would prevent these problems..

Touch-up paint is fine. Plenty of suggestions in the detailing forum. I have found that the outcome depends on the base coat. Perhaps a silver owner can give specific suggestions for silver.

If you're going to clear-bra it, you may want to have that touched up professionally. DIY is fine if that's what you're going to stick with, but you may as well fix it right if you're going to seal it under clear bra. Go by a couple dealers and ask when their touch-up guy will be on site, then hit him up. Alot of times, they'll do a little side job like that for cash cheaper than billing through the dealership. Those travelling pro guys that work out of the back of their trucks are good and well worth it over a DIY if you want it done right.

I recently bought the paint pen (not the paint brush - actually has a pen on the end) touch up paint from the dealer and it works really well for scratches and chips.
