Finished up the grille in about 10 minutes today. I think it really brings out the front fascia, eliminates the "hole" in the front airdam.

Total cost: 6 dollars. And I have a lot of supplies left over.

Any other cheap DIY mods?

Default Grill...

The grill looks good from the picture. Do you have any other pictures? Maybe one outside in more light and a frontal view of the car. That would help us see the grill a little better. Looks great though, nice job.

I am considering doing this but I would also like more of a close up. What is used to hold on the pieces, 3M tape? If I want to remove the grill later, will I have any permanent damage?

Where did you pick up the chrome parts?

Just buy the door edge guard. It sticks on by itself and can be removed at any time without harm to the plastic grill.

No other parts are necessary.

Chrome roll at AutoZone, self-adhesive.

Here is a full light picture, frontal picture to follow. The light in the car hole just isn't all that great, and there is a stack of tires that prohibited a good frontal view.

I like it, and I have recieved a few compiments.

I think I may jump on your chromed grill bandwagon.

You did say its from a "chrome" roll purchased at Autozone?

hey, do you live in college station? I live in BCS and I just got my track model like 3 weeks ago. If you do live here, you may want to come up to the car club thing we have every wednesday night at Oreilly's on texas across from walmart and sonic. We meet at 10. Anyways, if you ever want to hang out or need anyone to install any parts call me 979-219-2748.

I used regular wire cutting pliers. They worked fine, just pinch the ends in.

This is just simple chrome stripping on a roll at AutoZone, the self adhesive kind usually used to accent wheelwells or door molding.

I've been having problems with one end coming slightly loose, i just dabbed some hot glue behind it and haven't had any problems since. Even after washes and everything.

I have had this Mod for months now, with no probs at all. The mot common question I get about the grill "Is that a Billet grill?" or "Man that looks great. Where did you get it?" Some times I tell people I will put one on their Z for the low price of $100. After they say ok, I tell them how to do it for under ten $. I just can do that to a fellow Z owner, but let some Honda guy ask me!!

I have to admit that the grill looks sweet. I may have to stop at autozone on the way home from work.
