Paint Dilemma
I'm in a dilemma. I've known for a while that my paint was going to get hurt daily driving the Z to and from work. Unfortunately, that day has come sooner than expected. (Helped along with some other stuff.)
Here's my dilemma. Should I say "screw it, if I fix it it will just get chewed up again anyway", or have the car repainted.
My other option is to wait untill I live closer to work, and have it fixed then. (I'm thinking about changing jobs in the next 6 months or so.)
Here's a list of the damage:
Front bumper: A mess of stone chips and discoloration due to bugs hitting the bumper. Likewise on the hoods and mirrors.
Roof: Some A$$hole sat on my roof. There are obviuos waves that weren't there when I first got my car, and then one day I'm washing it, and there it was.
Rear bumper: Some A$$hole hit me and left no note. Its just a lot of nasty scratches, no denting.
Passenger Door: An aquaintance opened it into a brick wall. Bent the edge and chipped the paint.
When I got the car, the paint was pristine. No swirls or anything. (This was less than six months ago.) Now, I see all the flaws when I look at it.
So here's what I'm thinking, wait untill I get another job where my commute isn't through east egypt, where I have to drive through clouds of bugs, and get a nismo V2 kit, Seibon stock style hood, hatch, front fenders (vented) and doors in CF, and repaint in Brickyard. I'm thinking of painting the roof black and getting cf a pillars, and leaving the hood and hatch unpainted, with the fenders fading from brickyard to Cf in the vents.
How would this look? I've searched, but found no pics of CF parts on a brickyard Z...
