use a dirt and grease remover and wipe it down with a lent free towl. as far as temp is concerned i don't know but if you have a garage and are that worried about it, bust out the hair dryer and warm it up a little. 50 degrees is not all that cold tho so i would not worry about it.

I just went through hell installing my rear lip then having the 3m tape start losing its grip due to not properly cleaning the car first.
60 degrees is what they recommend
I cleaned my trunk this time with Bestine (rubber cement remover), it doesnt harm the paint, just gets rid of the wax, then stuck it on, and clamped it for a few hours. its on there for good now!!

thnx for all of your input. ill have to wait for warmer temps and take a hair dryer. what about using the zaino claybar to remove the wax? the package says it strips paint of wax? is that what i want? how can that be safe by exposing it to u v rays?
