Default Handbrake too high?

Does anyone here have problems with thier handbrake pulling up too high? Mine does that and I was wondering if there was anyway to adjust it.

I have not looked ,but there is usually a turnbuckle in the cable under the car. You can adjust that and the handle won't pull up as far.

6-7 clicks is the proper amount of travel IIRC. I believe the adjustment can be done on the lever, under the console. I'll check the manual.

Take out the ashtray/coin tray and adjust the nut you see in the back with a 10mm socket wrench. Ours is set to 3-4 clicks.
