It called smoking your taillamps. Any good bodyshop can do it byt either painting the lamp it or dipping the lamp.

www.bodypros.com explains the process of dipping tail lamps. If your from LA or Orange County they do the best job IMO.

thats a bit darker than Id like, maybe a slight smoke to them would be ok, Id also like to get the reverse light smoked. but not BLACK, gotta have a little contrast...

 

yeah its a little too dark. just a little lighter would look SWEET on a super black..

i see no reason for that, i think the stock looks nice. Whiting out the from reflectors, and the orange in the headlamp cluster i could see.

 

That's the thing I've been looking for...to smoke my tail lights. But I don't want it that dark though. I have a Super Black and I already installed my smoked side markers just waiting to smoke the tail lights, don't know where though...anyone know where I can get this done arount LA area?

 

shoot some people , and make it legal

 

a clear one would look better on the CS.

They've done a lot of show cars and most recently my biz partner had his E500 tails smoked as well as a customer's C-Class...They prep your lights properly.

I, too, was going to have my tails smoked but i think the red has a nice contrast/complement to the Super Black. I didn't want to look like i had no tails....besides i go to Torrance a lot, and TPD pigs are the worst when it comes to modding.

 

i think a clear one would look a bit tacky.

 

not on the CS. It'll blend in, might look tacky on the other color, but not on CS or PPW. Like the lexus RX 330
