Default painted headlights, VS V1 lip,...w/ pics

Hey guys, I just painted my headlights this past weekend with the help of Redlude97 (he did most of it ). we baked the headlights at 275F in the oven for about 10 minutes...after that, we were able to separate the lens and procede with painting. we painted it w/ a flat black high temp spray can; the only part we didn't paint was the main low beam portion; so now, my high beams don't really add much...we knew that that would happen, and it's not really a concern b/c I rarely use my highbeams. (the pics looks okay, but I think the headlights look much much better in person...but that's just me )

I've also installed a VeilSlide V1 lip; this was pretty easy to install, the sides snap around the front wheel wells, and then I used 2 screws on each side and some double stick tape on the middle...the middle of the lip still pulls down after freeway speeds (I also did some high speed run off-course @ +140mph).

here's the pics:

*I need to do a full clay bar/wax on her...I got the car w/ swirl marks from the dealer and have never bothered to fix it.

they're my sponsor for AutoX...their autoX tires are fairly new to the sport, and have already been showing great times; some ppl say that they're better than the Kuhmo and Hoosier's (the 2 main autoX tires). I already had the set of BFG's on my street wheels, but when I'm done with them I'll pick up a pair of their street tires.

here's a pic of their AutoX tires

*I wasn't trying to make this about the sponsors...but those were the only decent pics I had

thanks - I still can't decide which I like better, when I had your overlays or now...I was tempted to paint them after seeing some other cars (i.e. lotus exige) and how their OE lights have the clear plastic lens, projector headlights w/ blacked out interior; I loved how the overlays made the whole front end look darker (meaner)...but now that it's painted, there's more reflection from the clear lens...

seems like after I have a mod for more than a year, I start think of changing it again...maybe that's why my wife thinks I'm crazy

I still need to throw on the overlays for the front clear corncers (side markers)...they're way to bright - the overlays should make it flow much better with the car.

Looks great peter, I would consider just painting the sidemarkers the same color as well. As far as the claybar/wax, I can help you out with that too. I've got a Portercable/pads, and $400+ worth of detailing supplies I need to use up. You can supply the garage and water, and I'll bring the rest
