Default Dash Rattle???

I finally found the rattle that's been annoying me. I first thought it was my hatch, now I realize it's coming from my dash on the passenger side. Anyone else have this issue and what's the fix for it? The rattle sounds like a loose screw vibrating against metal. It's very annoying!

i have it as well - mine is an 03... my solution has always been to just turn the music up louder.. I think its just a poor fitment issue, not necessarily a screw.. I've also taken my dash apart though many times, so it's probably my fault, haha..

Ever taken yours apart?

I have a rattle on the driver's side of my '05. I'm looking for instructions on how to take the dash off so I can find the rattle and see about mounting speakers up there.

The noise on mine was cured by adding a little spacer between the dash and screen, it was actually rubbing there. Just beyond the screen demister vent is right where I put it....silent now

Pull the Dash Off and check the knee plate. That's probably your problem.

I have no idea it just sounded cool.

Anyway do some searching. You can find the dash panel removal instructions. I had a crazy annoying dash rattle when mine was brand new and I pulled the passenger lower dash off and poked around until I found what was causing the rattle. I adjusted it and never rattled since.

The knee plate probably means the knee pad on the sides of the vertical center column.....

Re: instructions- I've seen the ones on how to take apart the console. I'm looking for any info on how to take apart the REST of the dash.

What was making the rattle? Was it an airbag thing or something?

the dash is easy 2 take off, assuming the center console. that, pull the shifter surround up and off (after the **** of course, and theres screws, unscrew them, and unclip all the wiring harness, and pull gently. as 4 the dashboard, there r clips. take out the cup holder, and a couple screws down on the lower part and gently tug, 2 unclip (as if ur getting to ur ecu)
