Nice pics, but does anyone have these side by side at night. I'm curious if there is any difference in brightness.

thanks!

The biggest difference is the layout..
OEM 8x2 and the other 20x1 individual leds.
The view from the side is the biggest difference.
Actually there 20 LEDs in each OEM LED taillight NOT eight. I think what you meant to say is there are 8 "groups" of LEDs (4 groups of 3, 3 groups of 2 = 20 LEDs).

Go figure..
It seems like there wasn't much R&D done for this knockoff product. Not surprised at why it's so cheap.

Well 2yrs is a perfect amount of time for a long term review lol...

Plus if I started a new one I'm sure all the useful replies would be "search" "repost" and so on...

did you try a replacement or just ended up replacing? It could of been a bad resistor messing with your voltage causing bad readings on ur ECU...

This was one of the first aftermarket leds and the ebay seller did not want to replace the item.
I tried to explain that to the seller to no avail.
I would have done that.. but then I got the oem and sold that trackZ.

I made a mistake of ordering these. I already asked for a RMA, but in the mean time how do you install it with the stock 05 socket?

i was looking for something dark and ran up on a pair of the bubble ones for like 70 bux so i tried em. they work fine but as far as any limp mode stuff idk i haven't got the car all the way back together yet to drive it. definately looking to get rid of the bubble though as soon as something else comes out or i come up with another idea. look okay w/the look i'm going w/right now though.
