Hey guys my seat airbag deployed and so did my side curtain airbag. I'm wondering is their anywhere other than the dealership to get the airbags put back in my car or would you not trust anywhere else to do this type of work. I don't have anybody damage so i don't necessarily need to take it to a body shop. One more question i have leather seats in my z would i have to replace the whole seat or do they just put the airbag back in and stitch the seat back up thanks guys.

 

Why did it deploy?

 

I'd think any good repair shop could order the parts & restore. Personally, I'd take it to the dealer.

I called the dealership and asked them why did the airbag deploy they told me of g-forces because i was slidding sideways at certain speed or something like that the only thing i can think of is inertia. I got ran off the road and hit a wet patch of grass and did like 3 360's before coming to a stop. I didn't hit anything or anyone else but my two airbags decided to deploy. I guess i will bring it to the dealer i hope they dont take to damn long thought.

I think i would file a claim with insurance. No damage and they deployed shouldnt even go against you.

 

My neighbor had all his airbags deploy in his Mercedes when he ran over a speed bump too quickly. It was a big speed bump in a construction zone. Insurance wouldn't pay, but told my neighbor to ask the construction site manger to pay the damage (like $5000)
