Default 03-05 Owners,Show Off Ur Black Housing Headlights!

I would like to see how some of you have painted your headlight housing black. I have heard that some ppl used flat paint, some used a gloss, some painted EVERYTHING, some painted the lower refractor, some the turn signal one. So, I'd like to see some examples, please.

I am doing mine this weekend and was hoping to get some creative ideas from those that have already been successful and maybe read some regrets/lessons learned about what you wished you didn't paint or wish you had.

I have seen a few after doing a search, but some of the pics were not very clear (i.e., they didn't show off the headlights

Hoping to see some on a few Redline colored cars!

Thanks!

Default wow....so many posts! lol

Anyhow....I did mine this weekend. Picked up some clear diffusers from Rick's and painted just the piece screwed to the lens flat black. All I can say is WOW! It looks GORGEOUS!

I installed the new high intensity LED bulb from Velocity LEDS on my driving and side markers. They look incredible. Purchased the white, not blue and they look great with my HIDs. Also installed a 24 LED bulb on my front turn signals-they look great! Bought an extra pair for my rear, but decided not to install them (they're for sale btw).

Okay.....I feel like I'm talked to myself....again! lol

I'll post pics on here later for S&K's.

looks like he did it the same way as me...when you paint the inside, there's no light output difference AS long as you don't paint the portion that projects the lights. only other difference would be what color you paint them...

Well I did mine yesterday. I decided to go all black. I just removed the projector, and painted everything else. I like the look. I drove around last night, I didn't notice a difference in lighting. I'm sure there is some loss, but not noticeable to me. I'll post pics when I get the chance!

Smile Save some ca$h and DIY

It's not that hard...plus you can paint them as much or as little as you'd like.
