He might have had the whole thing repainted. You can also just tape up around the whole. Add a bit of bondo, sand, and cover with touch up paint. It'll look like a monet "good from far but far from good"

Perfect excuse to get a cf hatch . But to answer your question on the 1st post. Yes you got it right. I would tape a sheet of paper towel to soak up any goo gone over spray. A bit **** but save time from cleaning.

It took me a long time trying to remove the excess glue. Leave the googone for a couple of mins before you start rubbing.

I just went for it with some goo gone and some dental floss. 30 minutes later I had a nissan emblem in my hand and 2 holes in my hatch.

So I slapped some painter's tape over it, drew a with a sharpie and drove to the body shop. I had a burn in my paint and I had them fill my wiper hole as well.

Yep, Here they are:

This is what I did for awhile:

Now:

Thinking about going back to the Z emblem.

But, it sure would be nice shaved:

The roadster doesn't have the holes underneath the Nissan emblem in the back. Wonder why the coupe does.

In the first pic it looks like you tried to shave it with filler? It pisses me off so much when people on here suggest that crap. Do it right or don't do it at all. Not saying that about you, just people that think they know what they're talking about and suggest that method.

That would be a G35 coupe spoiler.

surely, this can be done without painting the entire hatch. I'll have to ask my bodyshop guy. I've seen him do touch-ups without having to do an entire re-paint. I'll have to ask.
