Default Few Pix after I put the chrome moldings on the grill

Just got a PM from VQracer asking me to post some more pix.
So here I go
Because of the size restriction of pix in this forum it may not look that good, but won't be that bad I hope.
Got the chrome fender molding(something like that..) at local autozone at $8.99, and just measured the length of the grill and cut the moldings accordingly, and put'em on!
Took me about 10 min to cut them off and 5 min to put them on and 3 hours to sit there and watching it and loving it

The last one... the guy in the car is not me indeed.
He's just tryin' to pretend that it is his car

Looks good, holmes. I keep seein' pics on this. I think it'll be the next mod I do. I just saw the molding the other day at Pep Boys.

Nice work. Did you use any extra adhesive (like 3M something or another), or were they self-sticking?

ZZZzzzZZZ-Hmm..I don't remember exactly since I already threw the cover away...but It is made in Tribute(something like that..) and its name was chrome fender molding or something like that.. when you go in and look for those stuff, you will know. sorry about the inaccurate information...I forget things too soon...

Alev- It already has 3M adhesive on it, which I like, and they stick fairly firm enough to endure some car washes and stuff. But I really have to see over time how it goes

Default Looks Good

Looks good. If the ends start to come lose use a little hot glue on the under side. I have mine on for 6 months and still looks great. I also covered the verticals, posted it sometime back.

Wow, your lucky thats not you. I was going to report you to the WAY TO UGLY TO OWN A Z cops. Within an hour they would have come by and removed you from your place of residence and replaced you with someone with much more Z compatibility.

I did that to a toyota truck I owned. After a year or so, the top clear plastic protection layer would start to peel off/lift from the chrome layer. This clear layer acts like clear coat for paint. It started to peel from where I cut the strips.

I was too lazy to change it. I figured since it's lower on the Z, it'll face alot more abuse from the road. So be prepared to replace it after a year or so. Or you can do like me and just end up removing it and go back to stock look when it gets too ragged.

r4square- yeah...since it's only 9 bucks...it won't matter. It's really easy to do and once in a year isn't that bad...

Raistlin- Thanx for the photo of the product! Yeah..it was trimbrite afterall.. dunno why I thought it was Tribute or something like that...
The one I got is also Trimbrite but it was not a door edge guard.. it was Fender edge guard then... But they are virtually same and it won't matter...whichever u prefer...
