Default Help!!! Repair paint peel off on Urethane Spoiler

My Stillen Urethane Spoiler have some paints that are about to peel off. I plan to repaint the peeled off area myself with maybe spray paint bottle from Kragen or Pepboys. It's black color so it should be easy to blend in.

What do I need to prep before paiting?
Any advice is appreciated?

Thanks

First off, you have paint that is peeling off?? I would be pretty pissed and take it back to whomever painted it in the first place.

Second, you're gonna spray paint it?? Please don't and take it to a professional.

if it is urethane, you need to use a proper flex primer so the paint can actually stick to the piece, otherwise it will keep peelign or chipping. have a paintshop do it properly, spray paint looks like rice and belongs on civics and what other fanbois do, not on the Z.

It's just a small area. I think I can do it easily.
Peel of the paint. Spray paint that area then use clear coat.

that is from improper prep when it was painted

you are going to use spray paint on your car? It's never going to look even remotely close to correct.....it needs to be stripped, reprepped, and repainted.

There are no free lunches

It's only peeled off right around the connect. I was hoping to peel that off, spray paint then put on some clear coat.
If it's too hard, time for body shop.

I read from online, it should be easy:
1)Remove peeled off paint
2)Wet sand the area
3)spray adhesion coat
4)Spay paint
5)spray clear coat.

i bought the spoiler used from online.
i'll try it first. if it doesn't look good, i'll bring it to body shop.

Don't do it! You're going to make a bigger mess with possible over-spray. Also, you cannot just spray paint a small little spot in the middle of the spoiler. It's going to have a ridge around it. Spend the 60-80 dollars and just have it redone at a body shop.

Well, thanks to your feedbacks. I've decided to bring it to a body shop. They said they have to prep and repaint the whole spoiler. Cost $180 but gave me a life time guarantee.

I have piece of mind now.
