Default Whats with the paint?

Well the car is only a few months old and on the body parts of the car that face up (roof, rear hatch) there are a few of these little hard clear specs that don't come off the paint (with a regular wash). They are really really tiny maybe like the width of a few needle tips. Will clay bar take these off?

Sounds like tree sap. I'd use a clay bar, yeah.

Do you park under a tree ? You said you just bought it....what year ?
Try using a clay bar in an discrete area first, then wax well with your favorite wax. I would recommend Zaino. Should take care of it.
If not then send pics to help evaluate.

Default gotta be tree sap

i had a similar situation, i couldn't figure out what the heck tiny little clear dots were. i figured it was sap bc if i touched it, it would get a little smudgey. i used plenty of water and soap immediately. whatever u do dont let it bake in the sun.

Don't park your car under a tree or get a car cover
The "Sweet Gum" tree was particularly bad for me
