Default engine bay lighting

im looking for a way to light up my engine bay at night. Ive seen someone useone two neon tubes close to the wipers. any other suggestions? pics?

you could get a pressure button and bulb assembly off of an older model car, and splice in to a straight power source. I did this with an old 68 Jeepster Commando i had, i just relpaced the bulb and wired it to a constant hot wire. When i shut the hood the pressur button cut the power and the light went of.

Not sure if it helps, but on an old jeep it worked like a charm.

I was thinking about wiring one of these to the hood presure sensor and placing it on the inside of the hood so it would light up when open:

look its not rice when im trying to light up my engine bay. im not necessarily looking for neons. thats why i posted this question. i like to show my car. and the shows that im at are at night most of the time and im tired of havin to shine my cell phone on it for people to see, ya know?

why don't you just buy one of those work lights that hang on the hood...or a detailer's spot light....

LED lights from Pep Boys or Advanced Auto Parts. Or places like that in your area.
