Default What is the capacity of the 07 Z gas tank?

today i was driving and even though i was on empty the gas light didnt turn on. i went to get gas and it filled to 16 gallons and still didnt stop. isnt that quiet large for a sports car? i remember having a 13 gallon tank in my older car.

what size is the tank?

Tank is 20 gallons. Don't you read the manual and check out the car's specs?
How can you buy a car like a Z and then ask a question like that?

Thats like buying a computer and not knowing how much memory you have........but I think the others above are right. It holds 20 Gallons.

Most gauges wont tell you the tank is empty when you have 0 gallons in your tank. Usually when the gauge reads empty, you've still got a couple of gallons in there. It's to keep idiots from running out of fuel.

Fuel tank capacity is stencilled on the side of the tank. Just look under the Z with a flashlight.

Ive had the Z for a year now and the most I have ever put in is 14.5 gallons to full, and thats when the gauge reads that I have about 10 miles left.

From my understanding its not so that you dont run out of fuel its a design defect in the sending unit placement. Ive never known any vehicle that keeps a 4-5 gallon "resevoir" of spare gas, atleast not a regular vehicle.

Yea the fuel gague in the Z is way off, whenever i fill I always put about 14-15 gallons in so one day I was like **** it and once it started to blink that there were0 miles till empty I drove another 70 miles city, when i filled up it was still only 18.5 gollaons I put in.

Great choice on the '07 Z. It looks like it's got quite a bit of potential. I'm not sure if the gas tank changed, but if I can recall correctly it's 19 gallons.
