Default Solution for those with sore backs in the Z

The angle of the seat cushion is to steep to support my butt & lower back. This lead to a sore back after an hour or two in the saddle. I've seen several posts from others with same issue.

Took the Z into a local upholstery shop. He built up the cushion such that it now provides much better support. First couple of runs resulted in zippo back pain. Looks nice as well. And I still have plenty of head room clearance.

I'm assuming this is the older z models without the second **** to raise the buttend of the seat cushion?

Pix would not show much. he just bult up the backend of the seat to reduce the angle. Now my butt feels like it's supported.

Yes, my Z is an 03. I did not realize they had added a **** to adjust the cushion on newer models. What was the first year that had the ****?

I've got one of those, Dave. Works great for seatback but not cushion.

Can't believe I'm seeing this post. I had a severe back injury about a year ago and driving the Z was very painful. Unzipped the back of the seat, stuffed a small towel on the front side of the lower metal spring. All better.

I was wondering to, because while looking through pics, i saw a Z with 2 hand turn things. my 03 only has one to lower and raise the seat as you all know. Intristing.
