Personally, there have been very few molded kits on a car that looked good to me. Stress cracks can become a major pain down the line as well. Not saying there hasn't been one done that I didn't like, but few and far between.

I wouldn’t do it. The probabilities of it cracking are major. And if there is allot of heat temps in your area, the edges possibly will bubble up. I have experienced that with the Veilside version 2 wing on our Z roadster.

I would avoid molding the kit as much as possible. Like the response above, stress cracks can develop fairly quickly if you have a harsh suspension and a poor body work by the body shop. It may not be immediate, but it will show in the long run. So my opinion is NO.

My buddy had molded a kit on his car awhile back. He drove it out of the shop, hit a bump and it cracked. They redid it and it cracked a couple weeks later. I highly suggest NOT doing this.

mine is molded...I'll see if I can find some pics of the kit being molded for you. BTW if your shop doesn't know what they are doing, it will look like serious sh*t and cost a lot to get fixed.

If that is a full molded kit, why is there a body line on the rear bumper?

anybody having any issues with nismo molded rears? i figured since the nismo rear is so small, there wouldn't be much of a problem with cracking.

Any pictures of the cracking on molded parts. Are they very noticeable?

Is remolding the only way to remedy the problem? Also how do you prevent this. Sorry for all the questions.

I would never mold a daily driver. Period. It is for show cars that are driven very little. Otherwise as people have said you will crack it. It is just a matter of time.

You need a body shop that has real skills. I have a molded kit. Have not driven it yet. No motor. Mine is show so I expect less than 3.000 miles a year.

Don't mold the side skirts to the fender & quarters. Have them molded onto the original side skirts and have the rear skirt molded to the bumper cover. Thats what I did... More reliable and easy to remove for repair.
