I really like the new style and am in between getting a CF hood or the new one...price etc I havent looked into yet but should be comparable i think

has anybody tried this?

 

Stick with a CF hood it will look better i like my hood on the 07.But hoping they come out with a nice CF hood for the 07.

 

Its funny how everyone cried, screamed and complained how ugly the 07 hood was when the pictures were first released. Now people actually want to swap their 03-06 for it!

looks good from the front angle but look at the Z from the profile, which is one of the better angles for a Z, and it totally ruins the it for me. the Z has a sexy profile but the bulge on the hood destroys the sleek look from that point of view.

No way...the '07 hood is more refined imho. Those little lines on the old hood looked like an after-thought. Also, if you look at the original Z's, they've got the same bulge...nice design aspect they brought back from the original.

 

Looks good from the side to me.

 

I like the new hood I think it gives the Z a cleaner more agressive look.

 

the new hood is cool hnce the new M3 is gonna have something similar to it.

 

i don't mind it at all on my 07, it looks better in person to me. just go to the dealer and get the 07 is you like it.

 

eh i'm not a huge fan of the new hood...

I hate to say it, but you're absolutely right.
I love M3's, but I just can't bring myself to buy those overpriced things. Lol.

 

I like the new hoods also.

 

why not just wait til cf hood comes out for the 07

 

i like the new hood too, besides it it's function over form in this case. also, there are a few 03-06 Zs here.......makes my 07 look a tad different.

Well as most people know I have my own problems with the 07 hood, not because I hate it but because other people hate it and make fun of me constantly for having a car with it.

I would strongly suggest you NOT go with the 07 hood.

 

that particular shot is some what angled and lessens the bulge look. ive seen numerous direct profile shots and the buldge was really less the flattering. its not god awfull, its just not good. dont get me wrong, it wouldnt prevent me from buying a 07 Z if i wanted to, i would just prefer not to have that hood.
