Got my ZREST from Grey Matter today!
Hey Duane,
Got my ZREST today. It looks and perfoms as you said. Very nice construction/quality. Matches the interior perfectly!
I will be taking pics soon, probably this weekend if it is not raining.
Thanks - Tony

Tony,
Thank you for the great review. We now have ZRESTs in stock: ZREST Site
BTW you car looks GREAT. Are you every up around Thousand Oaks? I would like to take a look at your car. You have done many upgrades that I am thinking about doing myself. Next time a So.Cal. drive is organized you should try and make it.

I received mine from Grey Matter last week. Installed it immediately and love it.
I’ve been out of town since then and unable to get my revies/pictures posted but I will this weekend.
It is a very high quality product and matches the interior perfectly.
I have an image of the elbow on it in driving position as Dr. B asks.

My elbow doesn't actually rest on the pad. More like my forearm right up to the elbow. I used to hit the button for the seat heater and/or open the box on accident. Now I don't even think about it. Great product. A++++, highly recommend.
But when your forearm/elbow is resting on it, is your hand on the steering wheel at the same time? If just seems that you couldn't reach the wheel very well unless I am picturing it (the rest) being further back than it is. Or maybe I just have really short forarms!
I had a local shop make me an armrest pad and I think they are great. It basically gives you a place to rest the right arm while driving with the left hand on the steering wheel. The console on the Z is to low to act as a armrest.
I had one made before Grey offered his. I also think his pricing is fine.

IMO isnt even needed in hte Z, the setup is perfect for drivin and shifting as it is, similar to how MR2's are setup.

funny, I actually use a black piece of foam as a arm rest since I have had the car, I am thinking about getting this product, since I use an armrest a lot, I guess many of us have different ways of driving.

I used to use my leather cd case which was very similar in size to the ZREST as an armrest.
Thats why I knew that the ZREST was going to be a good fit.The quality of this product is top drawer. The texture of the leather like material is almost identical to the texture of the plastic in our cars. It matches perfect, and puts your arms in a (Neutral/Level) driving position.

WOW. It looks like someone just stuck a square cusion on top. Oh, they did.lol
MAybe it would look better if it came around both sides and tapered off to be thinner with velcro on the sides as well! It would look more finished and OEM.
