Default xenon looking headlights for base Z

I have a base Z, from back in the day before they came with the xenon headlights. Is there a way I can get xenon headlights or anything that looks simiar for my car? The deal says the normal xenon headlights the other better versions of the Z's have could melt the wiring for mine. Any thougts?

HID Conversion kits, Bulb size H7, they're everywhere on EBAY and there's also a private seller on here somewhere.. easiest and cheapest way to go, like $2-- bucks or so, you can always buy Later model Xenon lights and make them fit.. there's a tutorial on it in the DIY section that i saw someone write up not to long ago.. he put 06 headlights into his base 03 or 04

Your dealer is lying to you. you can upgrade safely to 06 and up headlights.(not plug and play). Or you can get one of the available HID kits out there. Do a search for JUN for a good kit.

From a guy who used to sell xenon bulbs to people for $20 a set month after month (at a shop, not personally)...go with the HID conversion or leave them alone. You'll probably end up replacing them time after time, and they're a repair order waiting to happen if you live in that kind of area. I'd just spend your money elsewhere, unless you've got the money for HID (not tryin to be a snob, just my advice)

So even if I get the kit I'll still end up replacing them time after time? By spending my money elseware are you suggesting not getting them at all? or do you mean either get hid conversion kit or nothing at all? I just had a hard time understanding that for some reason. Thanks for you help.
