Question about driver's seat space
Hello All,
I actually just joined yesterday to these forums and was looking for a bit of advice from people who actually own and drive the Z quite frequently. I have always loved the Z and have had friends that have owned them. However, the only question people (family) have been asking is whether or not it will be comfortable over time to drive the car. I have sat in a Z before, but of course have not driven it over long periods of time or had day in day out experience with it. I am 6' 3" and have an average build, however, a lot of my height is in my legs. In college, I drove a Ford Focus for our safe rides program and have been driving a Camry for about 3 years. I was wondering if anyone had any insight or similar physical body builds? I looked at the Pontiac Solstice last weekend while I was getting my trade in appraised and noticed that I literally could not fit in the car (yea, yea, funny for you, not funny for the kid stuck in the car). Anyway, any input .. (or random jokes about getting stuck in a Solstice) would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

I'm 6' 2" around 190 lbs and IMO the Z seats are better during long distance drives than most sports car, but after awhile it starts to get to you. For me anything over 250 miles will require me to use a different car.
I'm 6'3" as well, with my height mostly being in my legs. I haven't had any trouble with leg-room ... but, then again, I sit upright in the seat. If you find that you slouch while driving, you might have trouble.
No jokes from me about size ... I can't fit in plenty of cars

I'm 5'10" / 170lbs but I can say the seats will go the distances! I have a skinny a.s.s but the seats makes the drive that much better. as of late I've traveled > 1000 miles in a 05 Santa Fe, 04 Matrix, 00 Grand Prix, and a 01 Durango; no comparison in comfort for long distant driving, the z hands down!

i've taken mine from memphis, tn to daytona beach, fl and n'awlins, LA with little complaints. just walk around a little more than you might otherwise when you're filling up on those long road trips.

Well, I'm 6'3" and 225 or so
and I owned an S2000 for four years. It was tight but comfortable except for getting in and out. All business. In that car, you're there to drive, period. The Z feel absolutely spacious in comparison. Plenty of room and lots of support. I love it! The seats have plenty of adjustments so it seems that almost anyone will be able to find a comfortable driving position.
I drove from Washington DC to Wisconsin (900+ miles), only stopping to rest when I got gas... in a BASE model. Whats that mean? No cruise control, boys and girls! My right leg was numb, and I had a limp all week after that. But my back felt just great!
6'5" Muscular build, no problems here at all... took a few moments to get use to, but otherwise it's fine...
Oh and it's a my daily driver, coming from an Expedition to this was a huge change...
