Arrow Waking up early for work...boo...

coming home to new packages...yea...

My new carbon fiber hood and dampers just arrived. I was so psyched to see the stuff when I got home from the office. Makes the stress just melt away haha.

Anyway, I dropped the stuff off at the shop tonight. Thank gawd for my father's Pathfinder. I had to give him a call and we could barely get it in there but we managed.

I am sure "this thread is worthless without pix," so here you go. Just what you were waiting for like the salivating dogs that you are lol (Simpsons).

I will post more pix once everything is installed

Oh..forgot to mention...it's in the shop for a little paint...

haha, it's too early in the morning! But nice!

Did you check if the CTD dampers are right for CF hoods? They're not too strong right?

I did check with Jim from Carbon Ltd. He is running a similar set up on a Tiburon (if I recall). This hood is not too much less as compared to the stock so, it looks like it's going to be fine. I can't wait to get it on.

what's up? It's actually going on a '06 Silverstone Z. Should look pretty good. I was blown away when I got it. Looks even better in person.

I hear you on the beach thing. I had a week off and just hung out and around my pool + the cottage waiting for this thing to come. It showed up the day I went back to work lol

Default Update...

well, I took a half day today and went to the shop. The hood was test fitted and appears fine. My body guy advised I am just clearing the OEM front strut (only thing under there that would impact it is the Copper Iso 5/16 MD Spacer) but from what I am told, the fitment is pretty good.

I got the CTD struts installed on the car just to check them out. They're on the OEM hood now and raise super fast (really kinda kewl as I have never had anything like this before). They actually compress now when the hood is placed back down (something I couldn't imagine considering how stiff they were right out of the box ). They look super clean installed and I am quite pleased with them.

In terms of the hood, as mentioned above, it is being painted. it's going to be a clean look (nothing to insane) to match the rest of the car. I will post pix soon once installed and we're all clayed/waxed up.

Default Yes...

the dampers are great. Super strong. Jim...thanks for help in getting this to me. Quite the cross country and international trip but she made it safe and sound. Box even looked nearly perfect.

Pins have been drilled and hood has been prep'd/primed. It's getting painted. Hoping I get the call tomorrow or Friday to have it installed. Car is so dirrrrrtty from sitting in the shop it's not funny. Will clean and get the cam out asap.
