Default What do you guys think about these....

I was looking for some nice seats to buy. I wanted non leather, and no big time brand name. The seats will be getting a crapload of wear and tear.

I said to myself what the hell. I searched the web and found these. I think they are awsome!! The feedback is really good, and everyone seems to like them.

What do you guys think?? Again, I dont care about brand name, I care about function.

those are nice but those cost 750 a piece. You can get the regular Recaro seats in cloth for 650. What is your fuction? Being lightweight and cloth?

Yea, but thats 750 shipped.

As far as function, I just need them to be lightwheight, durable, reclinable, and semi-light. These do all that, they finally got their F1a approval, and they look real nice.

Also they are Carbon Kevelar for 750. The FRP ones are 500. Compare to the Carbon Kevelar Bride seats tht are 1700+ and are not certified.

Yeah, the are def nice seats. The Recaros i was talking about has all of that as well but no sliders or brackets so i guess the price would go up. It's just if you put wear and tear on the recaro brand seats, you still can get most of your money back later if you decide to sell them. Honda heads buy any condition recaro seats.

750 each, + brackets.....as mentioned, a Recaro Speed would be far better IMHO, and less money (and from a trusted manufacturer to boot). Or, a Recaro Pole Position if you want a full bucket

You also want to make sure you'll fit into them - if they are a true GIAS/Stradia replica, they are very narrow, and if you are over a size 34, you're going to hate them. Will a person of 38 waiste fit into a GIAS/Stradia? Sure - have fun getting out and better check if your health insurance co. pays for massage therapy too...you'll need it (I speak from first hand experience and I am a 36 inch waist)

Not sure who told you they were FIA approved, but they aren't, nor will that particular seat ever be - as mentioned above, no reclining seats are, nor can be, FIA approved

You might as well go for a knock-off brand.

I think my big *** would crack the carbon fiber back, if I could wedge my fat *** into a 18" wide seat.

They look cool though.

If the quality was just as good as bride, or if they were FIA approved.. that would be one thing... But since the first can't be confirmed.. and the latter is a negative, these seats fail.
