Default Just finished putting on the chrome door sills on grill (Pics)

Found them at a local store for $12 for 2 packs, perfectly enough for grill. Only had about 4 inches to spare.

Here are pictures... Before:

They are the type you just push on. I can't think of a way to describe them really, only thing is this..

Picture this, only side ways, and curved... /\ .. Just push them on. They are very tight, so it's a little hard to spread them and put it on. I just took a knife, spread 1 end, pushed it on, and continued to push it into the grill... took about 20 minutes total. Inside them is a rubber, which I did have a thin layer of some kind of glue substance.

That's what I was hoping to hear. I'd guess removal would be relatively painless and wouldn't leave any residual evidence.

Great part about them is they won't naturally come off... but if you want to remove them, they are very easy to pull off, as long as you have more strength than a baby

do not be surprized if the strips start to peel off in different areas over a short period of time. Mine did so I put a little hot glue on the ends and they have stuck ever since.

why no verticle strips? I like mine.

These had a type of glue/sticky rubber inside it. I pressed it down in there extremely hard, so I double they will come off naturally.

Also, the reason I didn't add vertical was because I felt it was a little excessive, and the entire theory of having horizontal lines makes the car seem wider, with vertical chrome, it wouldn't give as much as a wider sense

Ricey? Give me a break! This is a very subtle mod that is very easy and extremely cheap. I did mine for TEN BUCKS! Hardly a waste of money. I think it enhances the car's looks for very little effort and money.

Default mine fell off!

after driving across town on the freeway, mine were coming off. they had the glue on the inside, but they got too hot or from the wind or something. they didn't leave any stickiness when i took them off either. it looked great though, so as soon as i find some adhesive they will be back on.

I just stuck mine on. No adhesive other than what is already on there.

Someone mentioned painting the ends (where you cut them) with clear fingernail polish to prevent them from delaminating. That may be a good idea.

I put mine on and they came off like two days later, either that or someone ripped them off. I was at school and I went over to my car and the pieces were on the floor, LOL! It was a warm day so they could've fallen off on their own, who knows. So, what I did was hot glue the ends only so that they didn't come off. It's worked pretty good so far, and they've been on for the past couple of months.
