How do you remove it from the dash?

How do I tap the wires to install a brighter more visible LED?

Didn't want to stick a screw driver in and start forcing it if I didnt know wtf I was doing...Please let me know if anyone has done this or knows how...

There was a recent thread from a guy who's LED had quit functioning and he was going to replace it. Might search up that thread and PM the guy to see if he figured it out. The general consensus at the time was that the circular plastic section the LED is mounted to should just pop right out, but not sure if anyone was speaking from experience.

 

I think you might be speaking of me who started that post. No one answered my question about replacing the LED alarm light, anyone know how to replace this?
