1. If I remove the wiper it will not affect the defrost correct?

2. What is the best way to paint the stopper or hole plug? I am going to pick up some Chrome Silver touch up paint on my way home. I just need to know the best way to make it look good. Any kind of prep or finishing tip will be appreciated.

 

No the wiper has nothing to do with the defroster. Also, there is a DIY write-up on this. Search for it and it will come.

 

I would absolutely not use touch up paint.

I would also recommend you buy a pre painted and clearcoated slim plug from spiralfunk. for under 20 bucks, why not.
