check your email, requesting a few more shots .Will post soon guys . BTW-The polished pics look great .

Post em up!

I'm concerned about the condition of the paint underneath over time. Is it better for the overlay to be on top of the clear coat or is it alright to have many coats of wax between?

I worked in a vinyl shop for 2 years, we did everything from commercial signs, full vehicle wraps, and window perfs. If he is using a quality black vinyl, then yes the better ones are rated for 7 years and won't have an affect on the paint because the better vinyl(rated outdoor) blocks UV's from even hitting the cars paint, but over time(7 years) fading the vinyl itself. My only thing, no offense bat, but sending someone a huge piece of vinyl to put on themselves on the roof of a car is asking for disaster. Just a note to all of you that are going to buy, if youve never done vinyl work. be sure to have it installed somewhere, big pieces like that can be a pain, requiring heating, squigees( proper one for use directly on vinyl, some will scratch vinyl) and stretching to get out bubbles and creases. But i really like the look, I may even get this done myself when I go back home. Good idea Bat!

PS.. no wax under the vinyl, make sure whoever puts it on uses a wax remover before its put on. The adhesive won't stick right and youll get peeling and bubbles in no time.

Thanks for the info Will. However, most people that have ordered my were able to do it, with the help of a friend or two. I provide instructions plus links to my install guides, including the Roof Overlay for reference .

Yes, I use 7 Year Raterd Vinyl for all my applications .

2 piece at this time. 1 piece is a whole new ball game. Vinyl is alot more expensive, I use 1 24" wide roll, I'll need at least a 48" wide roll to make a one piece. I will need 48" or wider shipping tubes. Not sure how such long tubes will hold up during shipping. 1 piece more difficult to install than 2. With that said, I will continue to do a 2 piece....for now
