Default Mounting wing to CF Hatch

Have a question, just picked up my Ings+1 low mount carbon fiber wing and am getting a Seibon cf hatch soon to mount it on. Has anyone done this? What is involved to make sure the hatch doesn't crack or get damaged? Any info, much appreciated.

I have been looking at getting one of those wings, please pm some picks when you install it. As far as the hatch I know that some like Varis offer models with extra renforcment for GT style wings. Not sure how Seibon's are setup though.

You'll want to have some plates fabricated for the underside of the hatch for the spoiler to attach to via bolts in order to give it stability.

Yes I did, good guy and great wing. Anxious to put it on, but can't mount it to my stock because it currently has a cf Nismo replica. Instead of repairing I'm thinking of just going all cf.

Thanks for the advise, guess I'll have to find a shop that can do that for me.

I've got a customer trying to put a wing back on his Seibon trunk and he thought it wouldn't be safe. I know Cheston put a wing on his fiberiages hatch, I think he fabricated some support brackets.

Well I got the Seibon hatch and Ings +1 spoiler on today! So just had to grab a few pics, don't mind the tape, the window was just put in and I had to leave that on for a bit.

Looks awesome ! I've always like the contrast between yellow and carbon fiber. What did you end up doing for bracing?

I'd say get the roof, a-pillars, and mirrors to complete the carbon fiber look.

the Seibon hatch (side areas) are pretty thick to begin with. has plenty of fiberglass underneath there that putting a side mounted wing should be ok w/o additional support.. Even the Nismo V2 wing fits and installs fine (i.e. Volk350z's setup)
