Default $7,400 to repaint PPW, is this too exspensive

Hi guys, I already search and could not find the answer.

I need to repaint the whole car 2004 zr PPW. I got a quote for $7,400, I was thinking $5,000 max. Is $7,400 too exspensive.

Has anyone added ghost flames to there PPW ?

My car had a major work done to it, therefore I got little scratches here an there......that's why I am getting the whole thing repainted.

Id rather bomb it all satin black and put $7400 into a downpayment on a house. You gotta draw the line somewhere and seven grand oem paintjobs are just past where my line is. I would definatly get another quote, maybe two

Yeah i think 7 grand is pretty high. Just go get another quote. Unless this shop is the best n your area. They must do custom high end stuff.

That's pretty excessive. I'd just sell the car if your paint is that bad, and use the money + plus a few extra (if necessary) to get another one.

What does $7,400 include? Entire engine bay? Under the hood? All door and hatch jambs?

$2,400 or $7,400, you what the job done right. What is the shops reputation? Have you seen photos of vehicles that they have painted?

What is the general condition of the shop, paint booth and work stalls? What do vehicle-in-progress look like?

A number like $7,400 isn't going to tell you jack.

i know its around $500 to paint the hood, front bumper and rear bumper each.

$1500 - $7400 = $5900 to paint the roof, fenders and doors?

Geez that is expensive. I wanna paint my Zr a darker custom silver next summer...why so expensive? - is it because PPW is 3 stage or is that true for all whites?

Dude. Call Makito in Santa Fe Springs. He'll paint your car no problem.

Might as well get a body kit while you're at it.
