Carbon Creations OEM CF Fenders ?
Hey Guys,
I know these probably aren't the greats pieces in on the market, but how is the fitment? Is it work able? Can a good body shop make them look OEM?
Oh and any other place to get them other then there website ?
Or is there any other maker that has OEM CF fenders ?
Thanks
T

Hey T, I can get them.
CC doesn't offer much of a discount but there a little cheaper then their site. I just sold a front bumper that had decent fitment. just needed some minor shaving. I'm sure any knowledgeable shop can get them to fit.

Not trying to bash on Carbon Creations but I just got a Type G carbon fiber bumper from them and for one there wasn't enough holes for the side markers to fit and they wouldn't even fit in there. I called them and they said I have to have a body shop install the bumper and have to call the shop I got the bumper from. So I called them and they have to send pictures to extreme dimensions so I can get an exchange or refund w/ 25% restock fee. I opted for exchange and hope for a bumper that will fit side markers and look decent. On top of the side marker deal there's dips in some parts of the bumper where there shouldn't be. I thought the original GReddy fiberglass version didn't fit good, this Extreme Dimension/Carbon Creations version sucks d**k IMO. I hope the new one is satisfactory but for now my thoughts on them is they don't make quality parts go w/ another manufacturer if possible.
they state
If you received you product and you are not 100% satisfied, simply repackage the product in its original packaging, and return the product along with the receipt within 5 days after you receive it and we will give you a full refund of the product price. No receipt, no refund

Here's a shot of the side marker and the bumper. Not big enough to fit a side marker. This carbon fiber bumper is supposed to be as they say, but when you call them when you have problems they say a body shop has to install this bumper.
The carbon fiber front bumpers are also UV coated, providing a high gloss, non-fading finish. Although carbon fiber parts cost more than fiberglass, they don't need any painting or prep-work, thereore, saving you hundreds of dollars and headache. Just unpack and install!!!

Not sure who told you that, but thats never the case with any aftermarket parts....thats why they're aftermarket not OEM.
As for your bumper, looks like something a dremel would fix. Basic modifications like light shaving should be expected.

Aftermarket or not they state Carbon Creations products are known for its high quality, great fitment, lightweight, and show quality finish. And the only thing I will say is true is the carbon fiber is lightweight. They copy the GReddy bumper which is fiberglass and fits much better then the bumper I got. I pretty much got a unfinished bumper if I have to dremel and shave the carbon fiber so the side markers fit.

I had the same thought as well since it was 2 times more then my GReddy fiberglass version. It is lighter since it's very thin but seems alot more fragile since it is so thin.

well I knew going in they werent the greatest, but Im more concerned with the fenders. Since they are the only people with a OEM CF fender, I wanted to see if the thing was at least good enough to have a body shop fit and paint

i've heard similar problems from people who have bought carbon creations products. the problem i see is...if there's too much material and some needs to be cut or not enough holes, that's one thing...but what does this say about the overall quality of the product? also, when you buy CF products, you can't exactly body fill if you're hoping to show off the weave.
on the other hand, i've heard incredibly good things about seibon cf fenders.

Well, I don't know about CC, and this doesn't help answer your question, but I bought INGS fenders and waited months for them. Now I have them, it's been takin the body shop weeks to fix them. They had defects in the seams. They fit horribly. And painting them has been the biggest problem. They prime with plastic primer, whatever, but eventually the paint bubbles up and has to be rubbed and repainted.
I don't want to use them, but I don't have the OEM fenders (mine were damaged), and it'd take weeks to get them from the states.
I'll take pics when it's finished, but for now it's embarrasing, especially when people find out how much I paid for them!!!

Might as well just get the seibon fenders and leave the top and paint the rest
