Default front bumper swap

my car will be in the shop soon getting a new front bumper and new fender. i would like to put an 06 bumper on my 03. i read that there will be a gap between my wheel well plastic and the bumper. is that the only problem? are there any other fitment issues?

yes, there will be a slight gap between your fender liner and the bumper causing the liner to come out and rub on the tires at higher speeds, so buying the 06+ liners would be ideal, but you don't really HAVE to. Other than that, there are no other gaps or fitment issues at all.

can you post pictures of the gap please? I am looking to do the swap. Also would the gap go away with the 06 wheel liner?

yes, i will post the pics tomorrow.

and yes, with the 06 wheel liners you are fine. the gap is very small at the bottom, the 03 wheel liners seem to curve in towards the wheel at the bottom while the 06 bumper stays straight.

I like the 06 bumper's two fin grill. Its more 3D than the previous ver. That's pretty lazy of Nissan designer to just flip the side reflectors 180 degree and not design a whole new one. Like the 'my lady lump' in the middle as well.
