ARG. ok so i bought halogen bulbs for my 04 base model and i spent 4 hours with my frind installing them. they arent bright at all. i mean i cant even see at night! you can look directly into the lights and they dont blind you. so i went back to auto zone and they wouldnt take them back cuz no box or receipt. so i bought what i thoght was right and again,4 hours later they werent bright either. what am i doing wrong?? im looking for blue lights and alll i am getting is basically nothing.

Yeah. If you want "bright" lights, don't buy those ridiculous blue coated bulbs. That blue coating does NOTHING except reduce the light output of the bulb TREMENDOUSLY. That's why they're not bright as you're noticing.

If you really want "blue" lights as I'm gathering from your post AND you want to be able to see after the sun sets, you're going to have to invest in an HID headlight upgrade. Anything else, you may get blue looking headlights with coated halogen bulbs, but they will absolutely, positively NOT be as bright as uncoated halogen bulbs.

Anyone who tells you different doesn't have a clue what they're talking about. Sorry. Blame the incontrovertable laws of physics.
