I have to get my front bumper repainted, long story short, I was parked near a house that caught on fire and the firefighters setting up their equipment damaged the front bumper.
So, I have until tomorrow to decide weather I should shave the emblem(it's an after market satin finish Z symbol) or keep it.
You're opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all the comments, guys. keep them coming. I'm still 50/50 at the moment (I'm so indecisive when it comes to modding the car)>_<;; Even the bodyshop guy told me to leave the badge, lol! For a bodyshop to say something to lose them extra money is a pretty strong statement(they were the same as some of you guys, saying that the badge adds "something" to the front). I just don't want to look back a month from now and regret not shaving it when I had to get the work done to the front bumper anyway.
Oh, and speaking of the front being stock or not, The fron't bumper is stock, but the front of my Z is very unique so it won't be just a normal front bumper being shaved, it does have an after-market lip:

I'd keep it. It's like having the car's trademark on the front. The only time I'd shave it is if I were going to replace it, with let's say a Veilside badge. -2 cents-
I say you shave it, it'll look really sleek. And you can always add something to it later down the line if you don't like how it looks shaved in the front.
BTW what kind of hood is that? Are those black things, hoodpins or part of the hood itself?

The hood is Seibon VT style hood.
The "black things" are Aerocatch hood pins.
As for the decision... I've told the bodyshop to shave it. I looked closely at my satin finish emblem and the UV rays have really discloured it and it had nicks on it. Don't want to go through that again.
Plus, I figured if I don't like it later, I could always find a "Z" emblem from the steering wheel and stick it on there.

Sorry I haven't updated you guys, yes, I went ahead and shaved it. It turned out great and the bodyshop who tried to talk me out of doing it at first has changed their minds once the job was done.
Thanks for all the opinions, it helped.
