neither, it is made out of PP (polypropelyne)

I have a pretty good parts girl. She can get me just about anything and I inquired about this bumper. She advised me the part number and such have been in the system for a while, but there is no availability and no way for her to order them.

Wow, what a pain in the ***.

I feel truly sorry for the first Nismo Z owner who needs a replacement!

Well, you cant blame Nissan for trying to keep their NISMO Z exclusive. They just wanna make sure that theyre giving Nismo bumpers to real Nismo 350z's.

Just watch, as soon as replicas are released, theres gonna be a large influx of Nismo looking Z's that arent the real deal.

......okay, well id probably be one of them...BUT WHO CARES!! ITS HAWT.

best bet would be to work out a deal with a Nismo owner and have them order u one and u just pay them the outrageous dealership pricing.
Those aren't a exact NISMO Kit, different color and a few different areas have a different shape compared to the real NISMO Z.

I asked two dealers here and they also verified that you need the VIN to order these parts.

ever seen the rear in person? I thought it looked like **** until I saw it in person; it looks very good in person.

The front is so-so. IMO it slopes and extends downword too much for my liking. I had expected to like the front much more than I did when I saw it in person. It does make the bulged hood of the 07 models blend with the car better

Kevin - you can get the bumpers from any Nissan dealer - we have, already, for a couple guys overseas. It's not cheap when you add up all the hardware and accessories, but it's OEM fit and finish

the cars you need the VIN #'s from in Japan are the special edition cars (those that were limited production runs) such as the S Tune GT and Type E.

she's wrong, she just doesn't know how to do it, but not unheard of when it comes to the more obscure stuff

every single piece on the NISMO Edition 350Z can be ordered through a US dealer, and many of the parts are already in the US.

Its kind of cool that you can get those parts but on the other hand if I paid for a nismo Z id hate to see a bunch of Zs around with those parts.

Umm our NISMO Z are limited production runs and you need the VIN.

Try to order a piece. I already know a parts manager that tried and he talked to Nissan already and he CAN'T order without a VIN.

I already have ordered them....2 times in fact (both front bumper assemblies), and no, I don't have a VIN (though I could get one if needed, but I was never asked to provide one). Could be because we order so many parts a month that I was never asked? Who knows.

And I know the US NISMO car is limited edition - but that's not what I posted about above, I was referring to the more limited Japanese only models

Cool Adam. Maybe it was lost in translation when I inquired about the Japanese ones heh.

I need to finish up my last year of Japanese now!

I've already placed some orders off the NISMO Z and it did NOT require a VIN. Did nobody see my previous post?

If there is a part number available, it is order-able. If it is too new of a part, in which case it will be; more than likely, it will come up as a backordered status.

Hey Andy,
Would you mind telling me / us how to order them? and how much it cost you? I have a friend who's a parts manager at a dealer here in Hawaii but he doesn't know how to order it and before I make him do too much leg work I'd really like to know if its just completely out of my price range.
