also, the front bumper is the worst part on that car. the rear and sides are nice. when the V2 is available so cheap I do not know why anyone would want the Nismo... but whatever. less with V2 means better for me!
and I would also like to know if to order them, the dealers are fudging things or what wualifications they need to order. if it was stated that they need vin + verified... any dealer can give that info. but then it's not legit and that is what I need to understand.
is it 'carte blanche' for the parts or are they manipulating the system.

because all they care about is making money, that is the bottom line.

I think the point being is that if you bought a nismo car you dont want everyone to have the ability to have something that looks like your limited edition car. Its the same way with saleen mustangs. Saleen sells parts and you can buy the body kits for them. It still doesnt make it authentic but if you pay 50k for a saleen you dont want people having something that looks like your car.

Dj, That might be true. I dont know. If i could buy the real thing cheaper than parts though by all means id buy the real thing.
I guess its just all in the way you look at it. If i purchased what was supposed to be a limited run car i wouldnt want people to have the chance to make their car look like mine. Thats why they call it a limited edition.
I like what nismo does in making parts for the Z. I think its cool that you can get these parts and have a unique look for our Zs. I just believe nissan/nismo shouldnt allow people the chance to buy these parts knowing they sold people a limited run car.

The fact of the matter is they pay that price because they want the name. In a free market economy, supply and demand rules. There is a limited demand for a high dollar nose that only fits a certain niche. With the replicas, you get a product at certain qualities. There is a larger market demand for the lower priced replica.
Those who bought the NISMO nose, still have the claim to fame of having the NISMO name (huh that rhymed). Alot of those that get upset at the replicas are usualy upset because they spent big bucks on the real thing and they could have gotten a product of the same quality at a cheaper price.
Bottom line replica's fill the gap in the market between OEM and high end market. Thats why auto makers make diffrent trims and diffrent makes. HELL Infinity was created to fill the top end market. Then when a Nissan, thats always been a Nissan (GT-R); comes to the US as a Nissan; the Infinity crowd got butt hurt.
When gone through the right hoops, replica production is legal. It makes modding our vehicels more affordable for the masses. I, for one, like the idea. +1 for the demand of the V3 NISMO Replica.
