Okay, I know the picture below is kind of small, but I hope someone who has seen a real Nismo kit (not a replica kit) can answer this for me.

In this pic, looking at the front, you can see the separator in the grill with nothing above or below. I have also seen some pics where there is a wide vertical bar just above the horizontal bar. This wide vertical bar is used for license plate mounting I assume.

My question... it that wide bar molded into the front end or is it a bolt on piece?

Since I live in NC, I do not need a front licence plate and like the clean look as in the picture below. The license plate mounting area really detracts from the appearance.

If it is molded into the front piece, does anyone have a suggestion for removing it or blacking it out somehow? I will be purchasing this kit soon and don't want to see the plate mounting piece at all...

its molded in. just have that part painted black so it won't stand out.

 

The mesh grill screen actually is cut out behind it so if you cut this piece out, the mesh screen would be missing in this area. You'd be better of painting it flat black.

I'm in the process of ordering my *REAL* Nismo bumnper as we speak,..my replica (KCAERO) SUX so bad they can't even make it fit--I'm gonna keep the sides and Wing(those I know I can get to fit) but have to get the real deal NIsmo bumper now,..sux,..$800+
so that will be here shortly,..then nack to the "Collision Specialties" on hwy 74.

I'm doing the same,..either cuttin the License plate box off or painting it black--still not sure if I sould shaven the "Nissan Burger" on a real deal Nismo bumper,..too nice to mess it up.??

You could wait for the US spec Nismo front end which will just be an add on lip peice....
